Canyoning Adventures

The Blue Canyon is situated in a hilly, rugged area of the rain forest, of volcanic origin. For the most part it is densely clad in native forest, to the west; the ranges are bordered by the Tasman Sea, in a series of high sea cliffs and wild beaches. The Blue Canyon trip takes you to the heart of the Waitakere Ranges. You will get to experience New Zealand’s beautiful native forest, and have the opportunity to see our native wildlife.

Blue Canyon full day trip: $215 NZD for 7.5 hours, includes:

  • Transport to the Blue Canyon and return
  • Lunch and refreshments
  • full wetsuits/harness/helmet, abseil training
  • experienced qualified guides
  • approximately 3.5 hours of canyoning.

This remote canyon is no stroll in the park with an invigorating 45 minute walk to the top. You won’t be disappointed though, with 18 waterfalls, ranging from 2 to 30 meters, natural hydro-slides, abseils that take you down showering waterfalls and some seriously awesome jumps. This non-stop action and adrenalin pumping trip makes it an experience not to be missed.
